Neo-Racism in America

Good day all. I've been watching some stand up comedy lately. I've been watching quite a lot of stand up actually. And since I cannot shut off my mind, I cant help noticing a few things. Like Racism for example. Let me try and keep this simple cuz i suspect many of you wont believe me.

First of all, I base this whole analysis on the premise (my own conviction) that you cannot achieve great fame and publicity without the backing of The Man. The Man dictates what we get to see on TV and hear on the Radio. The Man chooses whose latest album is hyped and who is dropped from a record label. The Man chooses how minorities are depicted in media. I dont know The Man personally, but I am familiar with his work. I am not a fan.

Anyway. So lets start with Richard Pryor, cuz he was an early black american comedian and it was with him that my stand up comedy week began. He is a comedic genious, really talented and really honest. He has done some really quality stuff. It is clear how influential he has been to so many modern day comedians. So far so good. So I was thinking, "Hmm.. I wonder why The Man would back him, after all he is such a likeable minority figure". Then came the sex jokes. Really, really crude stuff. So I guess that's why. And I noticed this trend with so many things in media. They take something that is 75%-95% really good, then add that dose of destructive. We wouldnt swallow that shit if most of it wasnt great, so it helps us take in the poison. Now, I am not trying to be petty. But I consider being a celebrity a position of power. And in a racist country like the US, you really have to pay attention to how black people are portrayed, by looking at which black people they allow to be heard. So Pryor started this trend in sexual crudeness, contributing to sexual and spiritual ignorance, as well as to racist portrayals of black people as reduced to their sexuality. Isnt it vulgar how the US is preoccupied with the sexuality of black people? Why cant I hear anything about some conscious black people. I know they must exist, but why cant they be seen on TV? It is also quite clear that while Pryor was quite crude about sex, he was also quite honest about his insecuritie and stuff. Nowadays comedians are just boasting and talking shit. They're working their assses off trying to be the best caricature they can.

Moving on to Eddie Murphy and Delirious. The man is a clown. Just the type of circus monkey that a racist would want to show on TV. He is offensive to gay people, women, and who knows who else (didnt watch it for long enough to find out). He is basically a puppet. A black guy giving us the go-ahead to offend and hate people for no reason. He isnt even funny to an adult. As my husband said: If youre gonna be offensive and diss people, you should at least be funny. The guy isnt even funny, just a prick.

Black, red, and some white.
Katt Williams is next up. This guy is so funy. in so many ways. But why fold in all that sexism into your work? Dont women wanna laugh too? why do you make us all laugh at discriminatory and humiliating stuff? How can you complain about racism and call women bitches in the same sentence. and make people laugh at it on top of it all? I dont want to swear at you, but that is hypocricy. I dont even know if that is the way to spell or pronounce the word. Shit!

Chris Rock. Sexist. Ignorant. Has some great insight about some stuff, but always with the bloody sexism.

Moving on. I love Dave Chapelle. But it is no secret that The Man had him in his grip while he was loved by the media. When Dave had enough, media depicted him as crazy. While he was still a puppet, tho, he was involved with a lot of blatant racist stuff, which, if he was white, would have been on a 1930's level.

Do you see a trend? All male comedians, no women. A lot of sexism and simplifying women (since women are not heard they cannot really reply). Adding up to a VERY simplistic and disrespectful depiction of the black man (and woman). Watching these, you can easily draw the conclusion that black men can only think of weed and sex, they are unsophisticated, and black women are some shadowy puppet figures (never heard or listened to) that are the objects of the mens hobby of sex. No wonder the only black women to be heard are talking about booty this and Gucci that. Apart from Oprah, but dont get me started on her dualist shit! We all know what went on at her girls school (programming prison) in south africa.

When I was in New York a few years ago, I wanted to find out what my american friends thought of racism. I was really into Malcolm X and the Black Panthers at the time, so I opened the subject a few times with my friends. I was struck by their ignorance in the matter. So I thought it had to do with them being New Yorkers, a city that is supposed to be the least racist in the US. I thought, maybe they just cannot relate to the stuff cuz they have never been discriminated like that themselves. But then, seeing what they were watching, movies and stuff, it made me confused. Here are some academic, upper middle class black americans, watching movies glorifying black people who are into drug dealing and pimping, making it look amazing to be a drug dealer. What the heck is wrong with you!!! Then I'm thinking, do they have a choice?? Its like men wondering why women would listen to sexist music (or sexist comedy), do we have much of a choice? Can you go to a club and avoid sexist music? no. Can you avoid sexist comedy? Its very hard, i tried. There arent many comedians that arent sexist. So I guess black americans just dont have much of a choice. Unless they turn off the TV. Perhaps they can check out TehutiBlack's youtube chanel, which is linked to on the consious media page.

...and another interesting thing. I wonder what the red outfit means. I am passing the ball on this to MK Culture or Psedo-Occult Media, perhaps they would know what it means. If you have any clue, please put down a comment!
Red and black.

Red and black.

Red, black, and white. Is that baphomet on his ring? And why is he lifting his hands up like that?

Red. And black trousers though theyre not visible on this picture.

Katt Williams in red. Pimping, of course. Making it look great to be a slave handler.

I am having trouble putting down comments lately, so here is my reply to Yeshua:

Hey!
I wanna let you know that I did reply to all your comments but blogger did not post them.
Anyways, yeah, I guess it is a bit different to what ive been posting lately, but if you dig a little deeper into my blogging and personal history you will see a militant, political, injustice-fighting superhero. I have since seen the light (LITERALLY, lol.)
I really agree with you on how it affects people. People keep thinking that media does not influence them but what they dont know is that media uses some really sharp psychological tricks to get PAST your conscious mind and straight into your subconscious mind. You cannot deny that it affects people. Subconsciously, media is an authority figure. It teaches us what the norm is. It gives us the parameters from which to define our identity. Media says there is a terrorist threat, and people believe there is such a thing. Media says black people love weed and dancing and sex and that becomes the limitations within which black people keep themselves. Media teaches us not only that but it GIVES US OUR VIEW ON LIFE AND THE WORLD. Therefore, a simple trick such as getting some puppet black people to present racist illuminati shit as if it was their own will give whole communities a sense of what their culture is. we are being spoonfed our culture. I agree about the blacksploitation films. first of all, what kind of a name is Blacksploitation??!! I looked into it a little while in my black panther phase, and I didnt get further than googling it, cuz i was disgusted with what I saw. Sexist, violent crap. In what way is that empowering, and for who? I would not be surprised if domestic violence rates went because of it, and pimpin is clearly still hot. It is clearly created by some white puppetmasters and all the actors are just slaves, maybe not literally, but slaves in a sense. And what crap are we fed nowadays? beyonce. where are the black, proud, intelligent women who do not reduce their identity to a booty? I know where they are, some of them still live in my old area, Husby, Sweden. Lol, now youve seen the other side of me. it aint peaceful.
Its so true that people take it on word for word. as a hypnotherapist i know that some people are very suggestible and can only enter hypnosis quickly, but constantly remain in a very suggestible state. They are the people who, when chris rock says "black people re afraid of N******" or "Women are such and such", they go: wow, that is so true! just because maybe that happened once that they can recall. these comedians also make men look really simple. so many of them keep repeating how if you only please men sexually, they will be happy. that is not even true for an animal, and here you go dehumanising your own people.

on a sligtly different note, i was told that the "sport" of boxing developed from dog fighting. they would start to use slaves to fight (in the US, of course), then they turned it into a legitimate sport. but interestingly, the people making money out of it are still all white, and the fighters are often black. even the white fighters are usually lower class, from poor backgrounds. are they using people like anumals? i wouldnt even use animals to fight each other, least of all for entertainment. how barbaric is that? it seems that slavery is still slavery under different guises. oppression is still oppression under the guise of empowerment, hence the "neo" in neo-racism.

so anyway. i think ive made my point and relieved myself. i dont know what race i am. culturaly i am really mixed. i have a mid-eastern heritage (as a minority from turkey) and grew up in a swedish suburb. sweden is as white as you can get, and the area i grew up in there were hardly any swedes at all. we had immigrants from all over the world. most of my friends were african. so i grew up quite universally, in fact i wrote a post on that. i support all people equally, thats why i dont take sides. i have a little bit of everuthing in me anyway. that reminds me of how hypoctitical some minorities can get, like my own ethnic minority is so militant about their own freedom and shit, but when it comes to the women they are the biggest oppressors, known for their violence and killings. (dont get me started). they also could not care less about other peoples. so what the heck gives you the right to freedom from oppression if you are an oppressor yourself? and an evidently violent one at that. anyway let me not generalize.

while i am at it, i will reply to the other comments.

i am really looking forward to your comments on the greg ilg interview! and about the picture on the other post, i am sorry to say i have no idea who painted it. dont tell anyone but i sometimes neglect my referencing duties. i am arrogant like that. :D

Peace!

  1. Wow, I'm surprised at the difference in tone in this post. I kind of like it though.

Growing up my mom would watch these comedians all the time and it always bothered me. I told her I felt they were racist and negative and that I didn't like the vibe they were giving. In retrospect, I was always very aware of things as a child and now I'm just tying the pieces together and confirming what my intuition was always telling me. I've found that comedians have a huge influence on the black community. You'll see people repeating what they say almost word for word and taking these jokes as if they were facts.

I was talking to an older black person who didn't know anything about the mind control elements of entertainment but they told me that in retrospect they felt like a lot of the black exploitation films, many of which starred Richard Pryor, had a mind controlling influence on the viewers as many of them began to mimic the stereotypes presented on the screen. I found that to be interesting.

I'm curious what your race is and where you're from. Not that it matters but I'm curious.

    Good post.

BTW, I responded to two of your other posts, I don't know if you saw them. You may not have comment notifications on.

  2. Oh and the red suit....Kanye wore one at the VMA's this year. A good blog commented on the racist elements of the show here : http://twooutsiders.blogspot.com/2010/09/highlights-for-adults-part-27-did-kanye.html?zx=18ad145145ab7375

  3. i think that u should review the slew of women comedians that are out there. this argument is one sided and very limited in scope. i agree that only certain people become celebrities by the will of the system. But there is real stuff that comedians are speaking on outside of sexuality. They often address political and societal issues outside of sex. Its easy to segregate what u dont like and blast it. do a comprehensive and thorough study on all fronts before we can draw a solid conclusion. ANd maybe the red and black is a subconscious expression of elleggua. At 5 years old i drew a stone head representation of the orisha to a T. without realizing what it was until decades later. Elleguas trait is as a communicator. Which commedians are.....

  4. I dont think the women comedians are saints either, but the ones i have seen arent as sexist, and they dont get much press so they dont have a lot of power to influence people anyway. I agree that a lot of the issues that these comedians that i listed (except perhaps Eddie Murphy) are bringing up are real and very important issues. Like, i love how Katt Williams clarifies that iraqi "insurgents" are really just the name media uses to make it seem ok to kill civilian people. other issues, incl. race, are important too, and they discuss the issue in ways that really make it hit home, which in itself is genious. But because of the quality of all that, that 10-20 % of sexist and racist shit goes by unnoticed and influences our cultures. As talented as these people are, would it really be that hard to ask them to cut out the poison and stop portraying black people as uncivilized lowlives and women as lesser worth prostitutes? how come they even get to speak for their entire race? i could go on...

as for the red and black, i dont buy the esoteric explanation i am afraid.

    peace!
